In an effort to tackle the unresolved and growing issue of hunger, Kroger has teamed up with other grocery retailers, media outlets, sports teams and community leaders to fight hunger through the Souper Bowl of Caring campaign. Souper Bowl of Caring is the largest food drive in Texas and it utilizes Super Bowl weekend to mobilize thousands of youth to fight hunger and poverty in their neighborhoods.
Starting January 12 through Super Bowl Sunday, February 6, we encourage you to help by visiting any Kroger store in Texas or Louisiana. You can volunteer your time, make a cash donation at the register or you can purchase a specially-marked bag to donate that contains non-perishable foods. The proceeds will benefit regional food banks. In 2010, shoppers like you helped us to collect a total of more than 4.6 million pounds of food and cash combined for hunger-relief agencies!
