Yesterday, my Mom came down and wanted to take the kids out for ice cream. I talked her into going to the store and BUYING them their own tub, so they would have it for the whole week (or month) instead of just one scoop at 31 flavors.
Well, I was helping the kids pick their flavors and, Of Course, reading labels. Now, we need to make sure the ice cream in gluten free. Man, gluten really is in Everything it seems. Back to my story:
Our six year old decides she wants Vanilla ice cream and I say, “There are two types of Vanilla, Classic Vanilla and French Vanilla. Which one would you like?”
She says, “Well Mom, I feel like living on the edge and taking a risk, so I am going to give the French Vanilla a try.”
My Mom and I look at each other and laugh, because… Clearly… we have a REBEL on our hands!
