Houston Life TV Segment: Coupons and Black Friday Deals

Houston Life TV Segment

–          Where to find coupons and how to keep track of the best deals?

Coupons can be found:

Newspaper – weekly delivery

In the Mail – periodically- best and personalized savings to get you in the store

In the store – promotions, Buy 1 Get 1 Free, limited time offers, clearance or coupons by the product

Online – shop online always look for promotion codes to save and free shipping

Company Website – If you like a company tell them, they will possibly send you a coupon

Make sure to know when you are getting a deal.  If a product says that it is 50% off but you would pay the same price for the item at a different store … then it is not a deal.  Don’t buy a product just because you have a coupon.  Find coupons for the products that you buy regularly.

–          Digital coupons, deals and store apps and how to use them

Using coupons has gotten super easy!

This process is simplified with our cell phones and store apps.

You do not have to cut sort and carry paper coupons to the store anymore to save money.

Download the grocery store or super store app.  This is the Kroger app.

Sign up for an account – that usually just means adding your address, email, and creating a password.  Just go into my account and get started.  Make sure to load your Kroger Loyalty Card.  That way you can start adding coupons and start saving money right away.

Then when you shop, just purchase the items and scan your card, even on your phone and the coupons will come off your bill.

It is really easy to save with coupons now!

Melissa just started using the Kroger app and adding coupons in September and she has already saved $681!  She loads coupons while waiting in the carpool line.

This is really easy to do and I know that you can save also!  Just think of the savings that will add up in a full year.  Don’t worry they app will keep track of it all.  You can look up each purchase to see just how much you saved.

–          When should you buy what at the grocery store? Is there a better day to shop to save?

The best time to buy a product is when it is on sale and to combine a coupon to save the most money.  Always look for clearance and remember that you can buy meat on clearance then freeze.  Stock up on sale items that you use all the time.

November is the best time to buy large appliances, Apple Products,  TV’s, Laptops, and Kitchen items.

Wait to buy Exercise Equipment and Gift cards which are best purchased in December.
