This is an email that I received today from Brandy:
I am so upset about Kroger couponing!!! I went to HEB today as they had Texas Toast garlic bread with an in-store coupon for .84 and I brought my .40 sent from the paper hoping to get them for the most .44 and the least .04 (if they doubled manuf coupons). I was very disappointed that the do not double and you also can not use in store with manuf coupons.
What is your new plan of action for couponing in Houston?!?!?!?
I haven’t figured one out yet
Brandy
My Response: The only time you can combine coupons (with a manuf. coupon) at HEB is if the yellow coupon has a B in the box and not a M in the box.
I have been shopping at Walmart, Target, Randall’s and HEB. I will not step foot into Kroger at this point! Maybe later, just not now!

Update: Well, my husband made me walk into a Kroger store tonight. I think just for the principle of it! I did not buy anything! But I did feel like a traitor by walking thrutheir doors. I found something interesting that I will be sharing when I get a bit more information. My DH (dear husband) commented that he could not believe that my determination has not wavered for weeks now, by not shopping Kroger. He stated that in the not so recent past that I have been so very loyal to Kroger that you would have thought I had stock in the company. Well, when decisions are made by Kroger, that affects the way I feed my family, I am determined to make my voice heard and not shop Kroger!
I will also not shop at Kroger any longer. They said less than 7% of their shoppers use coupons. In todays world, you would think a big company like Kroger would want to help the American people feed their families. It is very upsetting for my family.
I too am no longer shopping at Krogers. I am noticing a shift because the shelves for free items at walmart are empty on everything.
I have taken my price match at walmart into hyper-drive and I am still not at the 80 percent savings I had at Kroger’s. I forsee Kroger’s changing back because we are not the only customers who have said no to the change.
