Randall’s Trip

My day was lovely until the clock struck noon…..
Then everything turned upside down.
The kids would not leave each other alone and my oldest was very upset with me because she said that I did not see her do a back flip, dive and float at a pool party yesterday.
Although, I repeatedly told her that I saw her do these things… she insisted that I did not. A six year old with her mind made up! What was I to do?
After two hours of putting up with her sulking and complaining, I tackled her and put her in “MOMMY’S KISSY JAIL” Well, you would have thought that I was hurting her, with the screaming going on. The dog even came over to protect her.
If the kissy jail did not work, then I would have to wait it out.
Oh! The agony!!!
Less than ten minutes later, she is saying that she forgives me for not seeing her do those things yesterday at the party. It made me happy, that she remembered, I had asked for forgiveness because she thought that my attention was not on her.
All is well in the world!
Well not quite…
My youngest decides to terrorize her sister – on a continual basis.
At this point, I am trying to cook dinner. It is hard to make sure that they are playing nicely and cook at the same time.
When the DH comes in the door from work, he looks at me and says you need a break!
After we all eat dinner, you go and do something by yourself.
At this point, I just crack up laughing. (He has a way of bringing out the hysterical laughter in me. I am still sore from laughing so hard yesterday that I could not catch my breath. DH, I love you dearly, you know why!)
I take him up on his offer, and after dinner I head on over to Randall’s.
