Kroger shopping trip saved $87.38

I have to admit that with all the new choices of shopping in my area now, I have not shopped at Kroger in a while.

Remember, I have a weekly food budget of $50!

I made my dinner menu for the week (from the sale flyer) and headed out the door.

For this shopping trip I Used a $25 credit given to me by Kroger (Thanks, Kroger), so

I paid $27.53 for everything listed below.

There are items to us for this week and also to stock my freezer for future menus.  I like being able to stock up on good prices and not totally blow my weekly budget.  Need to admit that I did stock up over the weekend on $3.99 toilet paper from Kroger too.

Thanks Kroger for providing me $25.  It has shown me that I can get great prices on items for the week and still have enough to stock the freezer for the future.  Having a $50 per week budget for a family of four is very challenging,  and at times frustrating… so this is a very good week!

This shopping trip gives me something to think about!

Saving $87.38 is no small ordeal in this economy!
