Hi Nora,
My favorite childhood memories of Halloween would be when my mother dressed my sister and I up as Gypsies. She would put elaborate make-up on us, let us wear her "old" clothes from that looked like ruffled skirts. The absolute best part of the entire ensemble was wearing layers and layers of her costume jewelry! Those were the times to be creative with costumes and they didnt break the bank!

I remember the year I went trick or treating with my friend and when we came home we laid all the candy out on the floor and sorted in rows….and after we saw it like that we hardly wanted to eat any and mess up our "display". I still have a photo of us grinning over our loot!

Fav Halloween memory – too hard to pick just one!! My husband and I dressed up in Army fatigues with camo makeup; We loved dressing up our little ones as a bunny, Baby Bop, pirates, etc. Always love lots of candy – especially the chocolate!Susan
Favorite Halloween Memory – I was trick or treating with my mom about 7 or 8 years old, and there was a lady in a coffin outside her house and as you walk by she set up and screamed and showed her fangs, that scared me alot. Your mind was on her as you went to the door to get candy, when we got to the door and man(Monster)jumped out and chased us. We ran down the driveway and as we were running my bag hit the tree and all my candy spilled out, my mom was so scared she just kept going, saying don't worry we will get more. Never did get any candy from that house!!I wasn't to happy at the time, but looking back it was one of many Great Halloween Events!!! Happpy Halloween!!
Memories………..awhhh. I loved to daydream ( while in class ) about my costume. What time I should start knocking on doors. Check the weather few day before. The best was my mon and dad. Reminding us kids to every 30 mins…….. Not to eat any of the candy until they inspect every single piece……..goodness. We would a 5 pumpkins full ( plus bags when our pumpkins got too full ) of candies when we got home. ( had four siblings, including me. ).
My favorite memory is dressing up like a witch and going trick or treating with my mom, sister and 2 brothers. We ordered pizza before and then went to the hospital to have our candy scanned afterward.
I loved treat-or-treating as the easter bunny!

It's been YEARS since I've had these cereals! Every time I'm tempted to buy one the price/box size usually stops me.
My favorite Halloween memory is when my aunt would make costumes for my younger sister and me. Peasant blouses were in. She handmade our skirts and gave us tons of costume jewelery and an over-sized scarves placed around our heads. I am sure we had blue or green eyeshadow on—it was the late 70s. We were GYPSIES…I am sure this would be politically incorrect to say these days. I guess we could use the word fortune teller. We would trick or treat all night, she never complained, and we had tons of candy. People were so trusting in those days that if they were not home they would leave a basket of candy on the porch. My aunt has been gone over five years now, but I always have these memories to give me comfort. Now that I think of it, she would buy us Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Franken Berry cereal. Since our parents did not buy them, that was her treat for us!
I remember making treats with my kids to take to school!

My favorite memory is trick or treating — it was the only time we got candy!

One year we had to trick or treat in the snow! I was so sad because my big, puffy winter coat covered up my awesome clown costume. However, all the houses started giving out extra candy as the crowds thinned out due to the storm. It was the best candy haul ever!
