What do you do with your expired coupons?
Here is a suggestion………
Help Military families stationed overseas.
They can use expired coupons up to and including 6 months old.
My favorite Overseas Coupon Program

http://www.ocpnet.org/whats_new.htm
It would be recommended to use the adoption program from the link above.
They will do the verification of participation in the program for you.
Here are my tips for this process…
1) Adopt a base.
Go to http://www.ocpnet or any other Overseas Military Coupon Program and choose the
Base that you would like to help.
All branches of the Military are represented.
Follow instructions on web sites.
2) Start collecting your expired coupons.
Only send coupons that are recently expired.
It will take time to mail and distribute coupons to families.
3) Cut and Sort coupons.
Make sure that all coupons are cut neatly and placed together in categories.
Example: health and beauty, frozen foods, paper goods, breakfast items, canned goods, etc.
At least divide the coupons in Food and Non Food categories.
4) Secure all coupons for mailing.
It is not recommended to use paper clips or staples.
I have tried plastic wrap and small craft sized plastic baggies.
Both work well.
5) Total all values of coupons.
If you want to track the amount of money you are sending in coupons.
Add up all coupons at face value. Keep your running total.
6) Pack and send Directly to the Overseas Base.
Do not send the coupons to the program headquarters.
The cost will be the same as sending the envelope/package in the USA.
Utilize flat rate envelopes from the U.S. postal service, If you are sending large quantities.
This is a program that I am passionate about. I feel blessed to live in the United States and very supportive of all Military families, weather stationed overseas or in the US.
HERE is the segment from Great Day Houston.
MORE INFORMATION……
These are just a few of addresses to bases overseas.
**Please double check that the base is still participating in this program before sending coupons.** And send only to APO addresses or the cost will be higher.

Great Day Houston Weekly Segments
Have a great day!
I noticed the listing of overseas locations you posted. Keflavik, Iceland, base closed a couple of years ago and the “Livorino” address should really be Livorno. Make sure coupons are mailed only to FPO/APO addresses, not too local European addresses because the cost will be MUCH higher! I work for DeCA in Germany so I’m very familiar with the coupon situation.
Thank you for your feed back. I will make the changes on the original post. If you would like to write a little more about the coupon program and IF you have found it helpful, I will happily post it. I am sure that readers would be interested.
Thank you agin!
