Not really a good deal! The amount paid wasn’t really .99 cents, gift cards are really the same as cash and my opinion is it’s very misleading to post that you paid one amount for something and not counting the amount in gift cards. Yes, i know in the post you did indicate this, but not when you go on tv. You are out there claiming you paid x amount of dollars but not counting all of the rx gift cards. It is my opinion that what I pay for something is cash and gift cards, which I rarely have because “knock on wood” my child and I don’t have a need for prescriptions. The true savings should be coupons only, and out of pocket should be cash and gift cards, that is the up-front and non-misleading way when you are on tv. When I recently watched you on tv and you claimed the unbelievable low amount of money you have spent on groceries this year I couldn’t beleive it and had no idea how the heck you could be doing it. That is, until I read your blog and saw all of the rx gift cards you use for groceries, and all I thought was how misleading you were on the show and think you should be held accountable and be honest by including the amount you have also spent on groceries using the rx gift cards, even if you separate the amounts, BOTH NEED TO BE INCLUDED SO OTHERS AREN’T OUT THERE WONDERING WHY THE HECK THEY CAN’T EVEN COME CLOSE TO SAVING WHAT YOU AND THE OTHER BLOGGERS SAVE. MISLEADING MISLEADING MISLEADING WHEN YOU DON’T INCLUDE RX GIFT CARD GROCERY SPENDING

    Anonymous,
I do include RX rewards in my totals! Please check out my $100 challenge! The rules of my challenge are posted and you are free to read and discover.
As far as TV, there are many, many times that I have stated the $ amount and stated the use of gift cards and all info can be found on my blog. The show is LIVE and not everything is always able to be said due to time. There are things that are out of my control and I can not change the fact that time has run out.
    Thaks for your input!
As for the honest part, it is very important to me to be honest and upfront with every person and purchase that I make. Also, the way that coupons are used.
Take care and I am sorry you feel this way!
