Today, the day after my birthday (which was wonderful!) was one of those days…
I put on a load of laundry and switched the dishwasher on, as I was on my way out the door.
The plan was to take our lovely golden doodle on a walk.
Well, that part of the day was lovely! Walking outside and enjoying the beautiful day…
Until I came back into the house!
The laundry room was flooded and half the kitchen too. (1 1/2 inches of water)
What a mess!
But after 13 hours of cleaning, drying cabinets, baseboards and tile plus rearranging, it is all over!
I still have a bunch of other things to get done, but, HEY the Laundry Room looks AWESOME!!
P.S. the washer will most likely be fixed by DH (again)
What will it take for me to get a NEW washer?
Now that I am “Old” I need to take some pain reliever and head to bed to get some rest for these aching bones…
OH My gosh you lived my nightmare. It was on Sept 9. I put on the washer and took my dogs for a walk. I came home 40 minutes later to a flooded kitchen. The water was over the top of my foot. It went under the kitchen cabinets to the family room and the dining room. This was 2 days prior to my DH 50th birthday party. Needless to say this last week I finally got the new floors replaced in the kitchen and the living areas. It has taken us over a month to get our lives back together. Have your husband look at the tube that runs from the level dial to the bottom of the tub. I had a very small crack this is why it did not overflow all the time. Best of Luck!
Yes, getting everything back to normal is such an ordeal! I still have not done that yet! Hang in there!
