In addition, Target has made the shopping experience better than ever by adding new interactive resources that celebrate personal style at affordable prices.

Whether shopping for a dorm room or apartment, students will find all the necessities to fit any style and maximize space at Target. In addition to shopping in stores, students can visit Target.com/college and use the Target mobile app where they will find helpful resources, promotions and design inspiration through Target’s back-to-college shopping tools, including:
- uStyler: New this year at Target.com/college is an online program that allows students to mix and match dorm room products as they begin shopping for their personalized look. Students can design their own virtual dorm room by test driving how different bedding and decorative accents look together. Students can then share their design with their roommates and other friends through Facebook, Twitter, blogs and Pinterest.
- Target Stuff Scholarships: For the first time, Target is offering students the opportunity to
enter to win a variety of fun and useful college essentials through the Target Stuff Scholarship. Scholarship offers include a one-year supply of Ramen, a one-year supply of makeup and enough flip flops to outfit the entire dorm floor.
- Students can enter to win a Target Stuff Scholarship at TargetStuffScholarships.combeginning July 15, 2012 by completing a video interview with a panel of comedic “professors.” The video then can be posted on the students’ Facebook and Twitter pages to rally votes and make it to the top five. Judges will choose one winner from the top five scholarship candidates.
- The Checklist: Available at Target.com/college and on the Target mobile app, this customizable tool helps students organize and personalize their back-to-college shopping list. This year, The Checklist offers product recommendations – via filters and dropdowns – based on different living situations. The Checklist can be printed at home or at a Target registry kiosk. The list can be shared via Facebook or sent to friends via a mobile device.
- Fresh Product: Target is introducing new back-to-college dinnerware and drinkwarefor 2012 that boast bright colors and bold patterns. The collection is microwave safe and stackable for easy storage. Also new this year are organic sheets, reversible comforters and jersey duvets.
- Target After-Hours Busing Events: For the eleventh consecutive year, Target will host private after-hours shopping events for incoming freshman at 69 colleges and universities across the country. Throughout August and September, freshman students will be transported from their campus to Target for an evening of entertainment and exclusive offers, and be able to shop after-hours for any last minute items on their list. Students can check their school’s Facebook page to see if an event is scheduled for their college.
Back to School
Target is helping kids and parents get in the mood for school by bringing back the popular marketing campaign that features cheeky teachers singing catchy tunes about how to gear up for the school year. In stores and online, Target offers solutions and on-trend items for making the most of the back-to-school budget, including:
