This week the deals are good all around, but go to HEB to stock up on some fresh Corn on sale 7 for $1!! Whoo Hooo! There is a limit of 14, so you may need to swing by HEB more than once this week. This is a stock your freezer price and it is super easy to clean and freeze.
- Shuck the corn on the cob, that means, discarding the husks and all the hair like fibers off the corn. This is a messy process, but do it over the trash can and save yourself from having to clean the floor.
- If you want to rinse the corn do so, but then let the corn dry before freezing.
- Use freezer bags to place corn on the cob in family meal bags. Place some whole cobs in a few bags – 1 for each family member and also have a few bags with the corn half sized so that each person will get a smaller portion.
- Cook corn a usual after removing from freezer.
