I found this Jewelry kit on clearance for only $1.24. The earrings and bracelet have really cute tassels and I thought I would give it a try for that price. The regular price on the kit is $4.99 so that is a savings of 75%!
I have to admit, when I unpack the contents of the kit it worried me. There were so many little pieces that I doubted my jewelry making ability for a minute. But, I decided to unpack everything and gather all the supplies needed for the project.
By placing all the items in groups, I can organize the materials. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I start with the tassels. Just because I feel that is the most important part of the piece.
The only hard part about making the tassel was wrapping the wire around the top. I feel that I could have done it much neater if I would have had help holding the tassel. So, invite a friend to secure the tassel while you neatly wrap the wire around the top.
Now, on to the bracelet. It has two different parts. The chain links and the beads. Each are completed separately then secured together. The lobster claw tassel is added to complete the bracelet.
Earrings complete the set. I make two more tassels. Then, secure the links with jump rings and then add the ear wire.
The bracelet and earring set is very unique. I really like the way they look.
Plus, the tassels almost match my daughter’s hair perfectly.
